UK top level domains enrolment requirement - Phones Read the General Business Rules for registrating a. uk domainname before signing up. The long awaited.UK based version of the. caTLD will be available from 10 Jun 2014.

Up to now it was only possible to registrate a second-level domainname (e.g..co.uk, etc.). It has reserved a choice of.UK TLDs specifically for second-level DS.

In order to see if you are authorized to sign up a specific domainname, please type your.uk domainname in the right detection utility. In order to enroll your corresponding.UK domains, please browse for the appropriate domains and get in touch with our technical assistance to help you with your enrollment. The registrar will require that when you process your registrations you use the same authority data that is used on your corresponding second-level domains.

When you claim your.UK and have used a mailbox on your second-level domains, you must use the same information. It is also necessary to provide a UK mailing adress ( "UK" (UK), UK (GB), UK (GG), UK (JE) or UK (Isle of Man (IM))), which was not required for.co.uk or islandnames.

When you are using your.UK top level domains and have not used a.UK top-level domain on your second-level top-level domain, you must refresh the WTOIS information about the current top level domains and then exercise the privileges for your new.UK top level domains, otherwise you will not be entitled to use a.UK end. NOTICE: It is not possible to administer a domainname, because it only becomes effective after the completion of the validation.

You should do this within 7 working hours, otherwise the domainname will be removed. Privileges to a.UK apply to the equal qualified.co.uk,.org.uk or.me.uk TLDs that have been successfully completed before 28/10/2013. If there is more than one equal domainname, the right is in order of priority: .co.uk,.org.uk,.me.uk.

Holders of qualified TLDs have 5 years (until 10 Jun 2019) to assert their privileges. When a qualified second-level domainname is not extended (e.g. it will expire or be terminated), the right falls to everyone who has registered a.co.uk before the start on 10 Jun 2014. In the event that no right was existing on 28/10/2013, the right applies to anyone who has registered a.co.uk TLD between 28/10/10/06/2014.

There is no claim for any other extensions (e.g..org.uk) that have been recorded between 28/10/2010/2010. By the start on 10/6/2014 ( "no rights").co.uk and.uk domain names can be purchased as normal on a first come, first serve shopping and have no privileges.

When there is no corresponding second tier *.UK domainname available, anyone can have one.
